Looking for a longitudinal gearbox (possibly even a 6-speed) for AFN

It's been years since I was last here.
A lot of water has flowed under the bridge, and there are many reasons why I haven't modified any more diesel engines...

Currently, I'm (for now, theoretically) thinking about a motor conversion.
I'm looking for a new engine for my Barkas B1000, and there are already conversions using 1.9 TDI engines and gasoline engines.

Now, to the actual question:

Are the 6-speed gearboxes larger or have a bigger external size?
Is there perhaps something that's somewhat plug-and-play compatible?
Perhaps even with a cable system?

Hi,

For the Audi A4 (B9 generation), there are only 5-speed manual transmissions available, and they are longitudinal configurations.

I'm not sure if it's possible to adapt a 6-speed transmission, but a 5-speed is probably easier.
The Audi A4 B5 should have been available with the AFN engine.

The 6-speed transmission from the A4 B6 with 96 kW is compatible for a longitudinal installation in the AFN engine.
