Tiguan Coding: Error Code II-11 Fix

Hi.

"Someone might be able to help me. After replacing some control units, the ABS lost its coding. When I try to access "Coding II-11" in VCDS, it's grayed out and unavailable. Unfortunately, I only work on Mercedes vehicles and don't really know much about this."

VAG uses both long and "short" coding methods, which can be identified by the code itself. Long coding consists of a lengthy hexadecimal string. Short coding, on the other hand, is a decimal number that essentially adds together several bitmasks.

Use the other coding button on your diagnostic tool. If you hover the mouse cursor over the input field in VCDS, VCDS will display coding information for the respective control unit (if available).

It's best to use the coding from an old scan of the vehicle and not try to create it yourself.

Do you have the old/correct encoding? Where does the one shown in the Screenshot come from?

Okay, I've been working exclusively with Mercedes vehicles for about 30 years, and I think I know pretty much everything about them. But when it comes to Volkswagen, I'm completely clueless. X
My employee found something online, but it doesn't work. I can't use that, and I don't understand that message. I usually only work with Mercedes software, but my ex drives a VW, and unfortunately, I can't say no;-)
