Error light, indication of defective lamps (Solution)

Current vehicles have a warning light to indicate defective bulbs.

Please refer to the vehicle's user manual.

In the example, a faulty daytime running light on the right side (diagnosed with VCDS), which caused the aforementioned error message.

A diagnostic system like VCDS is helpful here to determine which light is responsible for the error message, because not always does the corresponding indicator light have a permanent failure, and not always are all the lights monitored.
