Hello
For my VW Golf 7 1.4 TSI 92kW Engine code: CZCA
"The timing belt needs to be re-timed because it has jumped teeth. The toothed belt broke during operation. Fortunately, there was no engine damage, and the engine is still running, but the EPC light now occasionally illuminates. The fault memory confirmed my suspicion." Error 4096 Bank 1 Camshaft Position. (G40) / Crankshaft Position Sensor (G28)
P001600: Incorrect timing.
There must be something wrong with the timing. I'm going to rev the engine up to its redline and then I'll check to see if the timing is still correct.
What would be interesting to me now! If the timing chain or chain tensioner doesn't align properly during installation, how is it re-aligned? The crankshaft is blocked at the bottom with a screw! This screw then presses on the crankshaft journal. I can probably no longer lock the camshafts with the tool that makes the timing incorrect. Can the camshaft wheels now be loosened so that they can return to the OT position?
That would be really interesting to me to learn how to adjust the timing (procedure).
It would be great if someone could explain to me how to proceed in this case.
