Hello,
To assess whether the DPF requires cleaning due to insufficient fill level or excessive back pressure, I request that users with VCDS provide the following logs/values:
- Engine code or VAG part number of the engine control unit.
- Has the engine been modified or not.
- Distance covered
- Specify ambient pressure and ambient temperature (measurement block 7 and 10 or corresponding extended measurement values).
- Full-throttle log from 1500-4000rpm from measurement block 11, 67 and 68 (or corresponding extended measurements for load, ash and differential pressure) as an unprocessed CSV file.
Example:
[code] - BRE
- Series
- 74,000 km
- 950mBar Ambient Pressure, 5°C In-take Air Temperature
Log file as attachment
Warning:
It has been shown that with increasing temperature in the filter, the differential pressure increases. To find the maximum differential pressure, several acceleration cycles in succession may be necessary. Also, when comparing the difference values, the specific temperature of the DPF is also important.
Thank you + Regards, Rainer

Would it also be of interest to see the total mileage?
The data from my items that have been washed twice are likely not very relevant, or?
Although, it would be a nice comparison; I'll get to logging now.

Okay, correct, I forgot. But the DPFs that have been washed 2 times would also be interesting!

I have data blocks 67 and 68, which show a successful regeneration from 45% to 2.2% DPF fill level.
However, there's no mention of the RPM anywhere... and I couldn't really accelerate excessively either.

Hello,
Motor BSS, current mileage 148 tkm.
5000 km ago, the DPF was cleaned using a Kärcher and a new differential pressure sensor was installed.
Environmental conditions: -5 deg C., approximately 990 mbar absolute, DPF freshly regenerated.
Here is a log of the corresponding MWBs, full throttle from t = 20 sec to t = 42 sec in the 4th. Okay.
For those who don't want to go through the log: The max. Differential pressure is 160 mbar at 4400 rpm.

Hello,
here is the log:
- Federal Republic of Germany

Hello,
hasn't been written here for a long time - but the thread makes sense...
My DPF is now reporting 61g of ash, and I'm concerned that the part won't survive the June holiday. After all, there are still 1600kg of a second dwelling attached to the Passat. "A full shutdown is absolutely out of the question!"
Here are the facts:
Engine Code BMP
not tuned
DPF mileage: approximately 155,000 km, Engine mileage: approximately 50,000 km (estimated)
Ambient pressure 969 mBar, Temperature 9.9°C, maximum pressure difference of 260mbar
The log was a bit difficult because my wife kicked me three times (despite the manual transmission and DSG).

The DPF was just regenerated during the previous trip.
This new ride was only about 10km since the regeneration.
He has been using the 22g load for a while, and I think he'll likely move up to 23 soon.
I'm curious to know if I got the 1500-4000rpm thing right, otherwise I'm happy to repeat it.

I think there will soon be two new differential pressure sensors... | I would only do this if this error significantly distorts the interesting (!) values during operation.
For example, if only a 20 mbar difference in pressure occurs in a Pmax system, then an error of 2.5 mbar is already 12.5% = a significant amount.
At a Pmax pressure of 200 mbar above the cork, the error would only be 1.25% -> that's perfectly fine for me
Gruß Ulf
