Hi,

I had new injectors installed in my BPP vehicle after quite a few kilometers. (Okay, not entirely new, but refurbished, with a test report.)
The exchange involves entering the new IMA ISA values via the extended adjustment process.
My VCDS or MSG doesn't accept that. When I try to test the new value, it always shows the original value as being tested.
If I enter a code that is too short, I receive a correct error message.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Could it be that with this MSG, the new IMA value is only displayed and recorded after an ignition on/off cycle with a few seconds of waiting time?
It's not the case for me, see here: /viewtopic.php?t=30733&highlight=ima
But who knows.
Perhaps a login is also required for the MSG?

So, it seems the situation is quite different than I thought.
Two of the six nozzles are assumed to have certain codes, while the others do not.
I have no idea what the detailer did wrong.
Anyway, they're coming back.

Hi,
You are using the IMA codes that come with the documents, not the embossed ones.
I would consider all of these injectors to be unreliable (and not even one of them to be reliable, even if replaced under warranty).
Were the old injectors that bad, and if so, are there any replacement injectors available from Audi or Bosch (or Delphi)? It probably costs more, but it would be more reliable.
I'm surprised that when the IMA codes are incorrect, there are no "AAAAA..." errors. The sequence is discarded as a test result.

Yes, they are all being returned.
They call themselves "refurbished," but I can't see that anything was actually done to them besides cleaning.
Two protocols even show a "Failed" result.
