It is impossible to clear the error code for the V71 servo motor in the Polo's Climatronic system

Here's a brief summary of the problem I'm having, for which I haven't been able to find an explanation anywhere.
Polo 9N3, Climatronic control unit 6Q0907044E.
Error code 01274 - Actuator motor for back pressure control valve (V71).
000 - -.
"V71 replaced, kinematic clearance checked, V71 to be operated with a 9-volt battery in both end positions, cables tested, control unit replaced."
BECAUSE
"Errors cannot be cleared with VCDS, and the basic settings are not functional, even when accessed directly through the climate control system."
The ÖAMTC (Austrian Automobile Club) helped by using their Bosch device to clear the error code and reset the system to its default settings.
Why is that the case? Is this a known issue?
For now, the problem seems to be solved, but I'm not satisfied with the solution.

Klimaservice wurde natürlich am Beginn des Spieles auch gemacht, nur um sicher zu sein, dass die Anlage voll ist. Für meinen Kenntnisstand ist die Sache unerklärlich. War auch nicht der ersten Stellmotor, den ich wechselte, unter anderem auch zwei Kompressoren bei anderen Familienautos. I was hoping that you professionals might have an explanation for it, otherwise, it's probably one of the last unsolved mysteries of human history.

After a long period, I revisited the problem, mainly because the air conditioning system was generally working, providing some cooling in the summer (though inadequately) and some heating in the winter.
The problem was a faulty contact in the connector to the V71. While the motor terminals showed a normal resistance of approximately 2 ohms when measured with an ohmmeter, as expected in the collector circuit, there was a high contact resistance when current flowed, preventing the motor from starting. MQS contact "straightened," now with optimal climate function.
I just don't understand why the control unit won't let me perform a basic adjustment. It says in VCDS that the actuators are being initialized, and then it just stops. I've now got a used control unit running, and it's working perfectly without any problems.
