OBD Scanner for Audi 80 B4 TDI 1Z (1992)

I own an Audi 80 B4 TDI and I'm looking for a mobile OBD device for troubleshooting.
The problem is, I only need it once, so it's not worth buying an expensive device.
Is there an app for that, or a simple device?

Perhaps acquire a VCDS HEX+CAN USB or a HEX-COM (VAG-COM), all with a 2x2 adapter. The original VAG-COM is perfectly sufficient. If the hardware is not cloned, there is also support available; otherwise, the approval ratings decrease .
