Hi!

I just stumbled upon the head-up display from in.pro while browsing the internet. I think 'Gute Fahrt' might have already published an installation guide for a Golf.

Has anyone ever installed this part in their Audi before? Where can I find the tachometer signal?

Here's another question about the general principle of operation... I suspect it's simply a powerful LED device that is mirrored and whose light is projected onto the screen.

Is it that simple?

And then I have another thought: In principle, this could apply to any active LED dot matrix display... so even one from a digital camera, right? Theoretically, you could even attach a night vision device to it and capture the data with a regular CCD camera from a hobby store and display it on the screen, meaning you would ideally have a miniaturized representation from the night vision device on the screen... or what?

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm being silly and watching too much Bond.

Regards,
Felix.

Well, I'm not sure who, but BMW or Mercedes-Benz was planning to incorporate that into their production models soon.

A forward-facing infrared camera with a mirrored reflection on the windshield to detect objects on the road (animals, boxes, intoxicated people, etc.) earlier.

all the junk that's lying around on the street (animals, boxes, drunk people...).

To avoid forgetting about all the gremlins that can also appear, only to then disappear again in a perfectly calculated cloud of soot... icon_biggrin.gif

Okay, I don't know how it works with the in-pro Head-Up Display, but...
'True' head-up displays (like those in the new BMW 5 Series or the commercially available...)
Fighter jets icon_wink.gif ) have a feature that shouldn't be so easy.
to be implementable

The advertisement is projected in such a way that it appears to be 'floating above the street.'
schwebt, d.h. sie wird dann Scharf, wenn du in die Ferne schaust... She.
It's not sharp, just make sure the glass is on the windshield.
focusing on (so that your eyes are fixed on it).

The photos never show this, as it's something that's lost in two-dimensional representations.
it can only very poorly illustrate, but in practice, it looks completely different.
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'aus.'

The car doesn't always have to adjust its focus (from far to near, or near to far) like...
with a standard speedometer...

Don't think this was just thrown together haphazardly.

Okay, that's actually a feature... meaning you ultimately have to place the focal point of the projection somewhere on the road, but how far in front of the bumper?

Hopefully, this will also be speed-dependent, meaning that if I'm driving slowly at night (or in fog) at 30 km/h, I won't be able to see as far as I would when driving at 200 km/h on the highway.

That sounds quite complicated...

Felix.

The secret to focusing lies in a film that is applied to the lens.

For the fighter jet, a special display will also be projected.

It's also included with in-pro.

Wow... Has anyone tried this In-Pro installation kit yet?
