I've obviously read the posts about the LMM here in the forum and would have appreciated your opinions on my problem.

I drove 300 kilometers today, and for a while, the road sloped gently downhill.
'So, I once tried to see how fast my 85 kW TDI with automatic transmission could go (with 120,000 km on the odometer).'
I couldn't believe my foot on the accelerator!
The acceleration was extremely slow, and it took quite some time before the speedometer showed 180 km/h. Then, it started going slightly uphill, and the speed dropped to 160 km/h?! That immediately made me think of the mass airflow sensor (MAF).

A little later, I tried to accelerate again.
Reaching a speed of 200 km/h without any problems!

The 'passi' hasn't been restarted yet (it doesn't have Windows on it, haha).

But could it be that the LMM (likely meaning 'laser measurement module' or similar) is sometimes failing?

or what else could be the cause of the error?

I've now read out some values using va* co*.

Can someone tell me if these values are too low?
At LMM Air/Reg, the highest value was 896 mg/R.

e.g., at 3087 revolutions per minute.
lmm air = 730.1 mg/R
absolute pressure = 969 millibars
absolute pressure = 2122 mbar

at 2100 RPM.
lmm air = 896.7 mg/R
969 millibars.
2326 millibars.

Are the values okay?

Maybe someone would be interested in taking a look at the log file; I could email it to them briefly.

"896 as air pressure seems okay to me at these temperatures."
You could try the diode trick (-> LMM technical article) to see what a maximum air mass value actually does (assuming the check engine light doesn't come on due to the EGR system not responding properly).

Measurements are only meaningful if they are taken precisely when the performance is dropping.

I think it might be related to the mass flow meter, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.
There have been several threads about similar experiences in the past.

The cars were mainly driven around the city, and then came the big surprise on the highway. However, after a few kilometers of driving at full speed, the problem resolved itself.

I still remember when people talked about aftermarket exhaust systems/catalytic converters and clogged variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbos.
