Hello everyone,
I've found something strange in my 1-bedroom apartment again.
I was on the highway today and suddenly the warning light started flashing. Strangely, I didn't really notice any changes in how the car felt. Should the EDC not be running in emergency mode?
Then I pressed the brake, and the turn signals stopped. However, they reappeared regularly as long as I didn't press the brake for 4 minutes. After the problem reappeared, I gently pressed the brake pedal, and the light went out.
What does this indicate, if anything, given that nothing else went wrong except the unusual fact that it was between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius today? When have we had such hot days in Germany before? The cooling system also didn't work when the speed exceeded 160-170 km/h, and the engine temperature rose to 100 degrees. I'll be coming down off the gas soon.
Therefore, here are two questions:
Is it normal that a TDI is not designed for such high outdoor temperatures? What are they doing in southern countries?
And can this be related to the blinking light bulb, or does the above description point to something else?
Thank you in advance for your great help on this topic. It has already been very helpful to me many times. By the way: My self-mounted timing belt pulley on the self-repaired KW stump is working like new.
Best regards,
Markus
PS: Ugh, my climate control has been broken for two years
