Hi there,

mal wieder ein typ. Summer theme!

- Refrigerant: Empty after approximately 2 weeks of topping up.

-> Evaporator slightly leaking (contrast agent at the condensate outlet).
'The aluminum cable conduit was almost completely pushed through the dryer due to its ingenious routing along the coolant hose.'

All-inclusive repair cost estimate = €1400 icon_eek.gif

Question: Is there a way to repair the vaporizer? (Model: KV 418E, without the 'Mafia' modification). Someone mentioned something about the cooler before.

Has anyone ever removed the dashboard and disassembled the heater box on a Sharan MJ98 AFN model? VAG claims it takes a whole working day to do that!

Best regards,

Regarding the vaporizer: Perhaps you could take it to a local appliance repair expert; they might be able to fix it, and it wouldn't necessarily be expensive. Otherwise, check eBay.

Hi!

The evaporators (at least in the Alhambra models) were breaking down one after another. Seat then replaced them under warranty/goodwill, but that's likely impossible to get after 5 years (although there was probably a design or manufacturing defect involved).
Removing and installing the dashboard is a very difficult job...

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'cu' translates to 'see you' or 'goodbye' in Spanish. It can also be used as a greeting, similar to 'hi' or 'hello.'
