Hello,

I was just about to replace the turn signal bulbs in my new A3 (8p), but I'm not really making any progress. I found the three Torx screws. I completely unscrewed the one in the middle, and loosened the ones on the sides. Even though everything was loose, I couldn't get the headlight out. Can anyone help me? Do you even need to remove the entire headlight?

Hello,

What kind of engine is it?
(This might sound strange, but the procedure may vary depending on the engine.)

Right headlight:
Pull the fuel filter, with its attached hoses, upwards out of the bracket.
Release the retaining tongue on the plastic cover, then remove the housing cover for the low beam from the headlight housing.

Left headlight:
Release the retaining tongue on the plastic cover, then remove the housing cover for the low beam from the headlight housing.
Tschüss

Thank you!

I'll try it tonight! I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'hold the plastic cover with your tongue,' but I'll figure it out. What's surprising is that no screws (except for the diesel filter) need to be loosened.

Best regards, Hüso.

Hello,

My mistake. I was preoccupied with the headlights.

Here are the turn signals (front).

Remove the front wheel.
Remove the front radiator shroud.
Rotate the bezel counterclockwise and pull it out of the case.

Rear lights:
Remove the cover plug from the trunk lining.
Turn the witch's hat upside down.
Swing the rear light slightly outwards from the inside.
Remove the headlight by gently rotating it outwards and pulling it free from the clip nuts.

Is this a joke?

The Peugeot 106 still has a 'maintenance access panel,' which is something.

Is it possible to remove the fender liner without any issues? I once read in a forum that the shock absorbers need to be removed for this. Is that true?

Hello,

@GremlinViewing profile: Gremlin: Unfortunately, this is no joke.

@hueso: You can leave the shock absorbers in.

@Michael II: Thank you very much!!! It worked exactly as you described. It's not so bad if you take your time and approach it calmly.

I actually installed Osram Diadem bulbs. I find the effect to be rather underwhelming. The reflections inside the headlight sometimes still make it appear orange. Maybe Philips SilverVision bulbs would be a better choice for the A3?
