Hello, I've already activated the cruise control in my A3 TDI. It involved quite a bit of wiring work; it was much easier on my Golf III because the wiring harness is already pre-wired there.
I guess you have the same engine in the Audi 80 and the Golf (1Z?), so the 'cruise control' system must be built in a similar way as well.
I installed it myself in my Passat 35i (also known as the 'B4'), and it was just as difficult as installing it in a Golf III. The biggest difficulty, in my opinion, was finding the cable behind the fuse box .
It's specifically about the cables that I'm concerned with.
For the A3, I even had to remove the windshield wiper motor, but I had a diagram and wiring schematic that showed which cables were which.
For the Volkswagen Golf II manufactured from 1996 onwards, the wiring for the cruise control connector is already pre-wired up to the steering column (connector with four pins).
I now need a wiring diagram or description for the Audi 80, manufactured in 1994. As I know from experience with Volkswagen and Audi, there are significant differences between the Golf, Audi, and even within different production years.
