The code consists of five digits.

XXXXX

1. Status: No significance 0
Second state: Manual gear = 0, Automatic transmission = 1.
State 3: 0 if no functional acknowledgment is received, 1 if a functional acknowledgment is received.
4th place: Limousine 0, Avant 1.
5th position: A3 = 3, A4 = 4, A6 = 6, A8 = 8.

The "beep" sound you hear when shifting into reverse is the confirmation of gear engagement.
