Hello everyone,
I just bought a boost gauge  .
'Now I'm not exactly sure where I should connect them.'
Alternatively, should it be kept at a certain distance from the incoming boost pressure hose?
(For whatever reason)
I took a picture of it once.

I'm looking forward to responses .

Hi,
Just click on my signature; you'll find the (in my opinion) most important tips there.
I don't understand your question about the distance (which point on which hose are you referring to?), but it might be answered in the LDA technical article. Gruß Ulf

@One of a kind.
"What kind of instrument did you buy? I've been looking for a manual pointer instrument that's smaller than the 52mm panel-mount version for a while. Not even Festo has anything remotely similar. Maybe someone knows a source?"
Thank you, Robert.

@ulf
I have read your 'signature,' and it is truly very interesting .
@LZ
I bought this on eBay; it's from the manufacturer Turbo Motors. It's a 52mm one . I also looked for a smaller one, but I couldn't find it.
There was also a T-piece with a constriction included, which is supposed to prevent the indicator from flickering. You should read Ulf's 'essential guide'; it's really well described there .
My current problem is finding a suitable location for it. I had previously removed the trim from the A-pillar, and I was planning to install it there, but the amount of work involved was too high (and the visibility wouldn't be as good). Unfortunately, there's also no more space where the (old) radio used to be, as it's a 16:9 screen. That would have been a great place to install it. Well, I'll have to keep looking.
Have a good evening.
Best regards,
Andy

Where can one actually get a 4-meter boost pressure hose? I can't find one (boost pressure hose, pressure hose, rubber hose) at the auction house, and at the dealership, you'll end up being very poor, as they probably want over 15 euros per meter. Rainer also doesn't have one in his shop .

Hi,
Fuel hose, available from a reputable parts dealer, for example.
A thin and robust option, for example, is a fuel hose for auxiliary heaters (with an outer diameter of 5mm and an inner diameter of 1mm). Placing a fuel filter before it will also significantly reduce needle fluctuations. Peugeot 307 (T5)1450kg Speck, RHS, MJ2002, 138g CO2 inkl. I can get the same hose from my supplier for 1€ per meter... there's nothing to say about that.
It's best to just ask around. Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben!

I now use completely ordinary clear tubing for household, garden, and aquarium use, and it has lasted for several years without any problems in our TDIs. |
Me too. Gruß Christian

I bought vacuum hose from the parts dealer in bulk.
It didn't cost much more, but it's more stable, so the hose is less likely to kink when you have to route it through the injection molding machine.
Best regards, Jochen.

"Could you please provide the part number and the price? My local dealer quoted me around 9 euros per meter recently, which is what's listed in the catalog. However, I thought that price was for 5 meters, which I would have been willing to pay."
