Hello!

I'm having a problem with my TDI.
In 2nd gear, starting at 1650-2100 RPM, there is a slight engine misfire, but it does not occur when accelerating at full throttle.
You can still notice it in 3rd gear and at the same RPMs. The higher you shift, the less noticeable it becomes.
'I initially thought it would go away on its own, so I installed a chip. However, that caused severe shaking, so I immediately removed it, and the shaking was the same as before.'
Then I went to VW, they read the error memory, but it didn't show anything.
I mentioned that it might be related to the mass airflow sensor, but the mechanic said it's probably something mechanical. So far, nothing has been found, and they don't want to just start replacing parts randomly, but I still have 5 months of factory warranty. I've now driven 32,000 km.

Maybe someone can help me!
Thank you in advance!

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem. There's a noticeable stuttering between certain RPMs, especially in 2nd and 3rd gear at the same RPM. The higher the gear, the less it happens. VW refuses to replace anything, and there are no error codes stored.

That's complete crap! / That's utter bullshit! / That's a load of crap!

Hi!

How many kilometers have you driven so far?
I'm planning to go to another workshop next week to see if they can replace the mass airflow sensor (MAF sensor) for me.
If anyone has any information that could help, please let us know.

THANK YOU!!!

Is the VTG rod smooth or does it stick?
Is the charging cable secure?

Have you logged the values for boost pressure and mass airflow sensor using VCDS?

The vtg rod moves smoothly.
VCDS (or Vag-Com) shows no errors, at least according to the workshop.

vag-com doesn't show any errors, at least according to the workshop.

Do you have any logged data from the vehicle's operation? Well, and often workshops tend to suppress or ignore error messages they don't want to deal with!

It will probably be difficult to say anything without a diagnostic tool.

Hello,

Try temporarily disabling the EGR valve. It eliminated the jerking I was experiencing at low RPMs in my PD115PS engine.

And how do I do that? Do I need to put anything in between?

'Or is it enough if I just disconnect the hose?'

Dangerous! Firstly, a defective EGR system can invalidate your operating license, and it will also generate an error code in various vehicle diagnostic systems.

Hello,

First, he should only try it for testing purposes, and second, an error message only appears if you disconnect the connector from the EGR solenoid valve.

It's best to disconnect the hose from the EGR valve and seal it, for example, with a screw, and also close the connection on the EGR valve itself, as otherwise dirt may get in.

And if that's the problem, then you're guaranteed to need a new AGR valve.

Okay, so I tried that, and the stuttering was really gone.
Hose back on and the shaking was there.
So, what's the problem now, and what needs to be repaired, or what can be repaired?
It must be related to the AGR.
Can I tell VW that I figured this out?
