Door hinge making creaking/clicking noises and/or is stiff/difficult to move.
Cause:
Increased friction between the rivet and the hinge pin.
Solution:
To effectively restore door hinges to a noise-free and smooth operation, and to protect them preventatively, the hinges should be treated with the universal oil spray ET-No. G 000 115.A2 (200ml spray can) according to the instructions below.
Instructions for use:
1. Spray all 4 door hinges with universal oil spray (part number G 000 115.A2). To ensure targeted application, attach the spray nozzle to the spray head. The spray can should be at room temperature and shaken approximately 5 times. Do not shake the spray can too often or vigorously, as this can cause the spray oil to foam, which will reduce its ability to penetrate. To allow the universal oil to penetrate the door hinges, the hinges in the joint area must be at a temperature of at least 30°C. In cold weather, the hinges in the joint area should be warmed to approximately 30-40°C with a heat gun before spraying. Then, open and close the doors completely approximately 15 times. Re-spray all hinges and open and close the doors completely approximately 15 times. This entire hinge treatment process must be performed at least three times to ensure that the hinges remain easy to operate. Finally, clean the door hinges and the body of any excess spray oil.
