Hi.

Someone once told me that the throttle valve in water-cooled EGR systems is electric, while the others are pneumatic.

I've done some research on VW now (I looked it up online).

Based on my understanding of the drawings and numbers, all of them are pneumatic, because wagons without water cooling from AGR have the same SRK_AGR value as those with cooling.

Does anyone have a photo (and even the part number) of an ELECTRIC SRK_AGR unit?

(I understand that the AGR is always pneumatically operated.)

Okay, here's the translation:

Thank you.

Hello Martin, I'm not aware that VW or Audi use a purely electric control system without vacuum assistance. There are other brands that do this, and even more, some even use a purely electric motor to move the VTG linkage.

Yes, they do exist!

The issue has been resolved.

hi,
The Lupo 3L, produced from 2003 onwards, for example, has AGR (Adaptive Grips and Reach) that is electrically powered.
greetings

I'm curious to see it; it should be a relatively new model.
I once heard that in the near future, VTG (Variable Transmission Gear) systems will be controlled using servo motors, as this allows for faster adjustments.
The AGR will likely have the same reason for doing so.
Could you tell me which model (year of manufacture) and engine code (MKB) you found?

hi,
I just checked, and I realized that I was wrong.
The fuel tank flap on the Lupo 3L MBK AYZ (from 2002 onwards) is electrically operated. (Prior to 2002, it was vacuum-operated).
The AGR is still under negative pressure.
greetings

@ PS3L

Then, you read the above icon_lol.gif. I also asked about the shut-off valve there.

Ah, I also read your post above - now I understand your correction icon_smile.gif.

EDIT:

Do you have the part number for the electric parking brake? I would like to have it.

Ouch.

Then I'd rather get the vacuum chamber from G4 - it costs 100 euros.

Do you want to add a bypass valve to it?

Best regards, WarLord.

hi,
Will the shut-off valve also be used to close the fresh air side when operating in EGR mode?
to, for example, introduce more exhaust gases, or to prevent exhaust gases from being directed in the wrong direction?
Because if it were only for stopping the engine, I would find it pointless to make it electric when the AGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system is pneumatic.
Either all or nothing.
greetings
