Problem 1: I also get cold even when the heating is on. In fact, I get colder, because it gets really drafty when the engine is cold. That's why I don't mind.
And because the engine heats up faster when it is first turned off, it actually results in warmer air coming out sooner.
Problem 2: I take it and put it in my warm right arm.
During the peak summer months, the engine's temperature rises. Whether it's going from 20°C or 10°C to 90°C might not make a significant difference. But what about at -10°C?
Well, then I'll just keep going. And if the ZKD expires, I will sue you.
