Hello,
I've searched the forum again for any polls or information about the top speed of various cars, but I haven't found anything. So, I'm starting a new 'poll' here to compare driving performance (according to the speedometer) with my own car.
Okay, here are my cars:
Volkswagen Golf 3 Variant.
motor 1z
1.9L, 90 horsepower.
250,000 km
Top speed: 185 km/h (indicated 178 km/h) with a very long run-up.
Volkswagen Golf 3 compact car.
motor 1 z
1.9L, 90 horsepower.
200,000 km
Top speed: 190 km/h (indicated 182).
Sure, here's the translation:
'P.S. If there's already a thread on this topic, please post the link.'
Otherwise, I'm definitely curious to hear about your travels...
Regards, Kalle.

Hi,
I find such comparisons to be nonsensical, as neither the environmental conditions (tire width and circumference, weight, incline/gradient, wind, etc.) are always the same, nor are the speedometers calibrated.
Based on my own experience, I can say that car speedometers are unreliable and only useful for estimating speed.
All the cars I've driven with navigation systems that calculate speed using GPS signals and speedometer signals (with an accuracy of +/- 1 km/h) showed significant discrepancies, with the speedometer readings being higher. My current G4 shows approximately 107-108 km/h on the speedometer when the navigation system displays 100 km/h.
When it comes to trucks, the situation is different; the information displayed by the navigation system almost perfectly matches the speedometer reading. Gruß Bertil

Since I completely agree, I can only recommend one thing:
Moving the thread to the GuteFahrt forum.....

That was really good .
They are also discussing illuminated air vents there!
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:
'MFG' is an abbreviation for 'Mit freundlichen Grüßen,' which means 'Sincerely' or 'Best regards' in English.
