Coolant G11: Buy Online & Save!

Hello everyone.

Perhaps a silly question, but I couldn't find anything using the search function.

I have a Passat TDI, 1Z, that supposedly uses coolant type G11.

My question is, is this G11 compatible with commercially available antifreeze?

Do I have to buy the expensive stuff from the VW dealer?

Well, BASF Glysantin (green) is better. I would never put cheap, low-quality stuff from places like ATU into my car.

At VW, only G12plus is available, which can be mixed with G11 and G12 indefinitely. It costs approximately 6€ per 1.5 liters.
