HI.

I was just pushing my Golf 3 1Z a bit earlier for the sake of science.

Here are the curves for air mass flow 003 and fuel injection amounts 008.

The initially concerning drop in air mass above 3000 RPM does not appear to be caused by a reduction in the amount of fuel injected, as the torque curve is fundamentally the lowest at that point, meaning there is no "lean limit" being reached.

Oops, she IS doing it after all! The Green Ring is a Russian interference!

E-quantities are bounded.

Air mass.

Next time, I'll take measurements of the air mass with both the old air filter and a new one.

The old one now has exactly 15,000 kilometers on it.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

I also recorded similar measurements some time ago.

1Z (original)
Approximately 220,000 kilometers.

Hi Dirk,

You seem to be having some serious breathing problems. Have you checked if the EDC is reducing the amount of electricity being supplied because of issues with the Russian border?

I haven't made any measurements yet, but what you're saying definitely makes sense. The car was always being fully accelerated. (See the RPM).

However, I suspect that the catalytic converter is either too restrictive or was removed too early. My brother never observed excessive black smoke coming from my exhaust during 'high-speed runs.' In contrast, I could see significant black smoke coming from my brother's car (also a 1Z) when accelerating.

Maybe I can borrow a laptop this week. Then I'll do some more measurements.

Exactly that "DO NOT SMOKE" warning makes me suspicious about my tractor as well.

During the only mass measurement trip I've taken so far, I only encountered the speed limit once, indicated by the green ring.

According to Russ, the EDC (Electronic Data Capture) system shut down at 4200 and only had one reading. However, it could also have been my own foot on the accelerator pedal, so I need to take another measurement.

I didn't want to push the engine too hard last night because it was already revving at 1500 RPM in 3rd gear - it's quite cold here icon_smile.gif.

It would also be interesting to know how much your air mass drops. I'm getting almost under 700 mg/H, while the '97 AHU was significantly above 700.

The new air filter is already ready icon_smile.gif.

We could collect the measurement data and compare them.

Then you would have a great way to compare which system provides the best airflow and what constitutes "normal" behavior.

I had a 1Z and an AHU series to offer icon_smile.gif.

According to measurements.

Set Point: 847.5 mg/H
Minimum value: 700, sometimes also 670 mg/H.

I believe the diagrams are from a full-load test drive on an expressway.

That would be possible.

I'd be interested to know the acceleration values, specifically how long a certain RPM range lasts in each gear when driving at full throttle.

I actually think mine is a bit too soft. My brother's 1Z was faster (top speed) and also had better acceleration.

Here are the times I posted:

/viewtopic.php?t=4629&highlight=my+dog+is+limping

approximately 8.6 seconds.

I'm going to get the weight checked these days. How much does a liter of diesel weigh?
The tank was completely full during the test, indicating a capacity of -130 km (which translates to 69 - 7 liters).
Subwoofer, toolbox...
