For the past few days, my Stilo (JTD Commonrail) hasn't been running properly during the warm-up phase.
The engine runs smoothly, but I barely have any power for the first 2-3 kilometers. The turbo doesn't seem to be engaging. Once it reaches a certain temperature, it starts working like a rocket.
I have read the control units. Conclusion: no errors found.
Does anyone have any ideas, even if it's not a TDI?
If the turbocharger has a variable geometry turbine (VGT), it might potentially seize up in cold conditions.
I can also recall engines that didn't allow any boost pressure when they were cold. If a temperature sensor was faulty in those engines, similar symptoms could occur.
