It might sound silly, but there's no information anywhere about whether the (turbo) diesel engine has a PD (common rail) system or not. You can only tell by the red 'i' on the car itself, right? I can't find anything about it in the manual! Does Seat even manufacture any PD engines? I know the SDI isn't one, but what about the 90 hp, 110 hp, 130 hp, and 150 hp versions?
I can't find anything about that here either.

Besides the 110s, they should be PD.
At VW, TDI engines with a variable geometry turbocharger (VTG) used to have a red "I" indicating the number of injectors: one for the VTG, two for the PD, and three for the 150 hp version. However, this system was later changed.
Hood up...
If there are four lines connected to the head from a pump, it's a PD (Positive Displacement) system; otherwise, it's a VP (Variable Pump) system.

and what do those have under the hood that don't have either silver or red letters?
Okay, putting the jokes aside! It's probably not possible to identify it definitively just by the 'r' or 'i' sound. But you can recognize it by the distinctive 'pd' sound! Or, you could just take off the hood and take a look!

They are unlucky and have to push .
You're right, the safest thing to do is to either inspect the engine yourself or find the engine code (MKB) in the car's service booklet and then check it against Michael's list.
Regarding Seat:
Seta, Skoda, VW, and Audi use the same engines, at least in these mass-market products. For example, the Seat Leon Top Sport comes with a 150 hp PD TDI engine. Therefore, you'll find the PD engine in the other brands as well, although not always with the same power output. For example, the 150 hp PD engine is probably not offered in the Skoda Octavia. mistake!!!! in my stable, there are 130 horses, much to the dismay of some people.
Regarding Seat:
Seta, Skoda, VW, and Audi build the same engines, at least in these mass-market products! For example, there's the Seat Leon Top Sport with a 150PS PD TDI engine. Therefore, you'll also find the PD engine in the other brands, although not always with all the power outputs. For example, I believe the 150PS PD engine is not offered in the Skoda Octavia.
You're basically right! However, there's always a time lag involved. Seat is probably the closest to VW/Audi in terms of engines and interior design. Furthermore, political decisions regarding the power output of engines also come into play, to avoid damaging the market for certain vehicles.

Hi,
So, when it comes to golf, things get a bit more complicated:
The only thing that is certain is the silver TDI model with 90 horsepower.
That's going to be fun!
until 05/02.
TD I 110 HP VP.
T DI 115 HP PD and 100 HP PD, and 130 HP PD (my AXR has a red DI ). Corrected!
TDI 150 hp PD.
From 05/02.
TD I 100 HP PD.
T DI 130 HP PD.
TDI 150 hp PD.
Cancellation of the silver TDI and VP engines . Gruß Bertil

Yes, I knew something was amiss with the Golf models. I really need to find that thing a VW employee wrote in a forum. If I find it, I'll post it again, if necessary.
Now I finally know why all T DIs are so slow; they only have 100 horsepower. VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96

You don't need to search anywhere else - you'll find the whole story right here.

Only available until 05/02 - but you could also consider a 115 hp PD model.
Okay, come by sometime - then you can see a proper AXR run and even experience it as a "Pampersbomber" .
Ulf always claims that my AXR includes VAT.

Yes, now everything is correct. I just found what I was looking for and was able to compare it.
Over the weekend, the 1Z will be brought up to your AXR level, then I'll come by.
I'll also look for a Bosch service center that offers performance testing and a measurement of the stock engine's performance . VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96

Polo 6N:
TDI with red DI, 75 HP, PD.
That's not entirely correct. The 6N was only available with naturally aspirated diesel engines (1.7 SDI, 1.9D), not with TDI engines.
The 6NF model was available with a TDI engine. I'm not sure if it already had a PD (common rail) injection system.

Hi,
The 6NF is often referred to as "6N" by many people because it's essentially just a facelift.
The 75 hp TDI engine that was installed is the AMF, which is a 3-cylinder, 1.4-liter engine with common rail direct injection and two very distinctive letters.
Sure, here's the translation:
"To complement this, please note:"
On the "older" Seat Ibiza (6K), the 90 horsepower model has three silver letters, while the 110 horsepower model has a red "I".
The new Ibi (6L) only comes with PD engines producing 75, 100, and 130 horsepower. The latter has two red letters, while I don't know what the colors are for the other two.
Best regards,
Jan. 1Z5 CFHF / AHB H4D

. . . and recently, also.
TDI = 130 hp PD (ASZ)
(perhaps because the 9N has the lowest curb weight of all ASZ models? ) Gruß Ulf
