I am sorry, but I cannot access URLs, local files, or PDFs on your computer and provide a translation.

Is this already known?

Sure, back in the day, it was available for download in a hidden corner of the VW website.

If you remove the PDF document from the URL, you can find other documents as well.

Don't get caught.

The document is now subject to a fee at Volkswagen, which means its publication is certainly not in line with the author's wishes!

I find it almost unethical, or at the very least, very bad, when a company withholds technical information about a mass-produced product or tries to profit from it when users want detailed technical information about the product. Furthermore, I object to the fact that commercial workshops are granted a knowledge monopoly, which effectively disempowers the end consumer technically.

I object to this disempowerment. When I purchase a product, I want access to the relevant technical documentation, whether I am a company or an individual. A reasonable reimbursement for postage is not a problem.

Okay, enough complaining icon_wink.gif.

.

Basically, you're right, but...

The person who writes such a documentation also wants to be paid.
The development team will likely say, "Not our problem, the engine is running and that's good enough."
The manufacturing department will say, "We don't need it because we don't do repairs, and the development documentation is sufficient for us."
"Sales/Marketing will say, 'We only sell products that are flawless, so we don't need that.'"

So, the workshops have to pay for it (whether they are contract workshops or not) icon_mad.gif.

The scenario described above is taken from the actual professional life of such a person (namely, me!). icon_twisted.gif

Hi everyone!!!

I'm newly registered on this forum! I've been following the posts for a long time, though.

Since I've been looking for a documentary about the 1.9 TDI engine for a while, I would appreciate it if you could please email me the link!

'Thank you!!!'

best regards, mat

No idea why the link is missing above, but here's a workaround (I hope this is okay).

Please Google "tdi-tech-deu.pdf".

Because it infringes on copyright.
Since a website owner can be held responsible for such links, the link has been removed. Warnings for things like this can become incredibly expensive. icon_eek.gif

Was do you mean by 'Was es denn mal umsonst?' Because if that were the case, it wouldn't matter, or is that just an expression?

@Tino, thank you very much, that's a great tip... especially for me as a beginner.
