29-03-2004, 20:32 Subject: Login Code for Comfort Control Unit in Skoda Octavia |

Hello everyone!
I bought a new container for the FFB for my Octavia. Unfortunately, the new FFB cannot be added as an additional FFB; instead, only one FFB is activated during the pairing process (sometimes one, sometimes the other FFB). I purchased a VAG-COM with a data cable, as I thought that more than 4 keys could be programmed. However, the VAG-COM only shows one key in the comfort control unit. If I increase the value to 2 and want to test or save it, the value always remains 1.
I assume that I first need to perform a login in the comfort control unit and then add the new key.
Unfortunately, I don't know the login code (I can't find any information about it in my repair manual either).
Can anyone please help?
Thank you.

Hello,
I also followed the above link. In Michael II's instructions, I'm missing the use of the 7-digit PIN code when programming the key. Is this necessary, or am I confusing something?

Hello, he only wants to pair the remote control. He doesn't want to program the transponder. |

Hello!
I tried the learning process according to Michael II's instructions using the VAG-COM and KKL cable.
I selected the "Adjust" function, channel 00, and "Save" in the diagnostic system. When I then switch to channel 01, a key is still displayed in green text. If I enter "00002" in the "New Value" field and then select "Test", the key "1" is still displayed. When entering "0002" and saving again, a security prompt will appear asking if the value "01" should be saved. --> The control unit rejects my input of "00002" (or "2") and instead always sets the value to 1.
Do I perhaps need to log in (Function 11) to the control unit first?
If so, my repair manual does not contain a login code, and I do not have the original Skoda manual.
Another possibility is that the control unit (the EEPROM) is faulty - or?
In Function 08, Channel 03, when the FFB is activated, the value 4 is displayed in the rightmost field (4 keys are stored) --> Deleting the storage with function 10 (Adjustment) is not being performed.
Maybe you could help me further.
Thank you.
