Hello, my new A3 2.0 TDI occasionally has a brief hesitation, which is hard to describe and extremely rare. I've driven about 950 km and experienced it maybe 2-3 times, so it's not frequent. It usually happens at low speeds, when starting or in city traffic. It's only for a fraction of a second, just a very short moment, as if it briefly loses power. The strange thing is that my previous 2.0 TDI also had this occasionally. And as far as I can remember, my A4 1.9 TDI (130 hp) even had it too? What is this?
Best regards,

Do you still have the box on, or not? If so, try it without it first... What's the result?

That has absolutely nothing to do with boxing.

I would just leave it as it is for now.
Perhaps you might also make a driving mistake that you don't even notice.

I'm not sure if the engine was under-revving, as I haven't driven it much before. But if that's the case, the engine shouldn't be misfiring, right? And I can rule out driver error; that wasn't the problem.

You haven't mentioned at what speed this occurred yet.
That's why I meant a misfire, because it can happen occasionally with speeds below 1500, causing the engine to stall. WELL, I'll just leave it at that.
But since it's a warranty case anyway, you don't have to worry about it affecting your wallet. B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

Well, as I said, this has been a fairly rare occurrence so far, so I can't pinpoint the exact RPM range. And the warranty situation is complicated; I don't know what to tell Audi, they probably won't do anything anyway. I just wanted to know what the possible cause might be.
Best regards,
