Hello!
I bought a Lupo TDI 1.2 pump nozzle 3 months ago. That's really impressive, especially when you're using the Tiptronic system.
However, I'm curious to know if I could also use the pump with my Lupo to do something like a '10 cent tuning'...?? It shouldn't be permanent, but rather something to turn on and off... or are there perhaps also mechanical adjustment options to make it a bit faster?
Has anyone already had experience with how this works with three-cylinder pump nozzle engines?
Basically, it should work, as there are also powerboxes for the 3-liter Lupo. (From almost every reputable diesel tuner...)
Do you have any tips for me??? |

Honestly, how much does it consume? And under what kind of driving style?
(min and max.) Consumption)
Best regards, Ingo |

Well, I don't know what the consumer has to do with my desire to modify the car, but he needs 3.7 liters of biodiesel or 3.5 liters of regular diesel if he drives in an extremely sporty manner (believe me, because I previously had a sportier car and I also have a fast driving style). He only needs this when operating in Tiptronic mode or when the ECO mode is switched off.
If I drive him normally and steadily with ECO mode, he needs 3.2 - 3.3 liters of normal diesel. So, 3,0 oder 2,9 Liter sind auch möglich, aber nur bei normaler Fahrweise...
For those interested in my old car (before the Lupo), please check out:

I hope someone else can also help me with my problem.... |

No, no, that has nothing to do with tuning. I just wanted to know that, because I almost bought one myself. But since the Lupo is too small for me, I ended up buying a Polo SDI. (4.2 to 4.7 liter diesel). It was also not quite as expensive as the Lupo. (I am a student)
From a tuning perspective, it shouldn't really differ much from the 4-cylinder engines. Technology should be the same. |

Yes, the technology is the same, but it's not a VP37 or any other conventional turbodiesel injection system, but rather a pump-injector system. I'm not sure if that's compatible, at least based on how it's described in the manual on the homepage, I'm not sure... or does anyone know? |

Unfortunately, no answer to your question... but the 10 cent, as described here, definitely won't work with the PD in this form.
Whether something similar is possible through signal degradation, no one has yet found, but theoretically it should be possible, since there are boxes for these engines, and they work exactly the same way.
This general statement applies initially to all PD engines, regardless of whether they are 3 or 4 cylinders, and regardless of whether they have a 1.2, 1.4, or 1.9-liter displacement.
Basically, someone just needs to try using a device on the box to figure out its function.
