Audi A6: Kombi Tail Light Conversion (2000-2002)

I want to retrofit my 2000 A6 with a FIS (driver information system) and install a combination instrument from a newer generation (2002) with chrome rings (part number 4B0 920 933 G). I already have a CAN-compatible combination instrument with a digital clock, so there shouldn't be any problems from that side. But what about the immobilizer? As far as I know, I have an immobilizer system II (WFS II), and the new combination instrument has an immobilizer system III (WSF III). Can I register the immobilizer to the new combination instrument without any problems?
