LDA Content: Forum Share at 4‰?

So far, 7 installation photos of LDAs have been featured in the article , viewed by over 1,800 forum members - this represents a calculated percentage of approximately ~4 parts per thousand of the local TDIs that are equipped with LDAs .

Man, I'm really disappointed... are you all (almost) waiting for a serious problem to occur before taking action, and then relying on workshops or VAGCOM, or do you simply have no interest in monitoring the boost pressure while driving?

Or are the rest of the LDA drivers just too lazy to take 1 or 2 photos and send them to me - or do you not have a digital camera or a phone with a camera yet?

In my opinion, something more important would be an oil thermostat, which I will also retrofit in my vehicle.

I would like to, but my boost pressure is always 1 bar (absolute) = atmospheric pressure. Therefore, an LDA (Lambda-Sonde) would be quite boring .

The placement isn't exactly ideal. I had the LDA temporarily mounted in the storage compartment of the center console, but even then, it's hard to see. So it doesn't matter whether I have to look to the right or left; visibility is poor either way.

I'm probably a bit too late with my image; I just saw that there's already a similar image in the research article.

Regarding the placement, it should be noted that some plastic trim needs to be cut away to install it. If you have seat heating and/or climate control, the controls and temperature sensor will also obstruct the area.

Here's my solution. I needed a quick fix and wanted to be able to easily remove it later. So, it was just a temporary measure that has now been in place for a year.

As you can see from the disassembled seat heater control unit, I'm also having a problem with that.

As long as comfort-related defects don't effectively disable the entire vehicle (e.g., power windows that no longer close), things are still relatively lenient...
