Hello and greetings. I'm new here.
I hope you can help me with the following problem:
I own a nearly new (used) Lupo GTI 16v, manufactured in 2003 (1.6l, 6-speed), engine identification: AVY, with approximately 13,000 km, therefore still under warranty (1 year).
Now, I've noticed the following (I'm trying to describe it as accurately as possible):
when I shift into the next higher gear, engage the clutch, and accelerate, I immediately hear a strange noise for about 1-2 seconds.
(...collecting, or it sounds like there are some screws inside a metal can, and I gently tilt it until I hear something, or a kind of rattling sound. Sorry, I don't know exactly how to describe it), after 1-2 seconds, the sound stops.
in the workshop, they told me that it was normal, and it might be due to manufacturing tolerances... but I can't really believe that.
(Maybe they're just trying to extend the warranty period, or something like that)
Do you perhaps know more??? What could this be???
thanks, best regards, Clooney
