Hello!

Is it possible to achieve similar performance gains with a 2.2 DTI engine (like in the Zafira, manufactured in 2001) through '10-cent tuning' methods?

Supposedly, the Vp44 doesn't work well, but you can find tons of 'power boxes' for Opels on eBay, mostly for €15-20, so there must be something to it. It definitely won't cost me more than €5 to build one myself.

Thank you for any tip; I don't want to order one of those things for €20, take it apart, and then find out that it only contains a resistor again icon_smile.gif.

That's probably just the usual diesel temperature manipulation you see in production cars.

It usually consists of a casing, a lot of glue, and ONE resistor.

This has probably already been discussed and analyzed in this forum, but I'm too lazy to search for it myself.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Hi!

Okay, that's clear for VAG cars, but I wasn't sure if it would be as straightforward with Opel. I don't even know exactly where the temperature sensor is located.

However, hold on a minute... As far as I know, this isn't a CDTI but just a DTI, which is a turbocharged diesel. Is there anything known about that?

CDTI is also a common rail system, so it definitely doesn't use a VP44 pump.

The DTI must have the VP44.

Yep, and it seems like nobody has ever worked on the VP44 before, or no one wants to reveal anything about it icon_sad.gif.

Hmm, what does the control unit do in the VP44? Because it has its own control unit.

Best regards, WarLord.
