Hello,
I'm hoping to find help here, as I wasn't able to get help from our local

.
I retrofitted a trailer hitch with a 13-pin electrical kit from VW to my Passat 3B, manufactured in 1998. A failure of a turn signal on the trailer is indicated by this electrical kit through an increase in the blinking frequency, which works reliably. However, I would still like to have an optical check in the instrument cluster. Therefore, I replaced the standard hazard light switch with one that has a trailer control function, but unfortunately, the illumination now blinks in the instrument cluster when the hazard lights are activated, with

! My idea that the connection at the WBS, where the lighting is currently connected, also serves as the connection for the indicator light in the instrument cluster, has not been confirmed, because nothing blinks when a trailer is connected

Who knows the answer? Retrofitting a trailer hitch is actually quite a common practice.
As I said, my local dealer can't/won't help (they want me to leave the car there), and besides, I'd have to drive there again (over 30 km), and I'm fed up with them! If they tell me I need another cable, I would definitely buy it from them without complaining, but I wouldn't have them install it.
Okay, and finally: WBS orig. 3BO 953 235 B WL + BL + DI (what does that even mean?)
new 3BO 953 235 E WBS + AK + OMR
-Sentence: 3BO 055 204 B
