Trailer light socket Passat 3B

Hello,
I'm hoping to find help here, as I wasn't able to get help from our local .
I retrofitted a trailer hitch with a 13-pin electrical kit from VW to my Passat 3B, manufactured in 1998. A failure of a turn signal on the trailer is indicated by this electrical kit through an increase in the blinking frequency, which works reliably. However, I would still like to have an optical check in the instrument cluster. Therefore, I replaced the standard hazard light switch with one that has a trailer control function, but unfortunately, the illumination now blinks in the instrument cluster when the hazard lights are activated, with ! My idea that the connection at the WBS, where the lighting is currently connected, also serves as the connection for the indicator light in the instrument cluster, has not been confirmed, because nothing blinks when a trailer is connected .
Who knows the answer? Retrofitting a trailer hitch is actually quite a common practice.
As I said, my local dealer can't/won't help (they want me to leave the car there), and besides, I'd have to drive there again (over 30 km), and I'm fed up with them! If they tell me I need another cable, I would definitely buy it from them without complaining, but I wouldn't have them install it.

Maybe you should allow more than 12 hours.

I would say: Let it be. The effort involved is enormous compared to the benefit – for example, you're missing the individual wires that connect to the turn signal contacts on the AH socket, and I think it's far from easy to figure out the correct codes and pin assignments for the involved control units.

I also have the aftermarket version without the AH turn signal indicator, and instead it uses additional technology - it works well and reliably.

If you want more... then just connect it to the AH-LED, and that's it.

Overall, for me, this falls into the category of "minor" or "trivial" tuning.

das AHK Blinkrelais erfasst die zusätzliche Last der Anhängerlampen über den zusätzlichen Strom. Das diese Blinkleuchte beim einschalten des Warnblinkers brennt ist normal. Aber so wie ich das verstehe brennt bei dir das (Abblend-/Stand-)Licht? Da hilft wohl nur der Vergleich der Schaltpläne.

Ja... bin ein wenig ungeduldig. Sorry!

Nein, es blinkt nicht das Ablend oder Standlicht sondern ausschließlich und nur bei Warnblinklicht die Nachtbeleuchtung / Beleuchtung des KI (kein sonstiger Schalter noch sonst eine Kontrollleuchte). Und das tut es auch wenn gar kein Anhänger dranhängt! Die Blinkfunktion als solche funktioniert mit beiden Schaltern, sowohl mit als auch ohne Anhänger - nur die Kontroll LED für Anhänger im KI eben nicht. Bei einem Bekannten wurde in einem 99er Bora auch eine AHK nachgerüstet, allerdings in einer Werkstatt. Da funktioniert die Kontroll LED des KI. Dessen WBS ist allerdings 8 polig. und passt auch sonst nicht.

So weit mir bekannt und lt. Auskunft meines VW-Dealers gibt es aber nur 2 Schalter, eben mit oder ohne AHK-Kontrolle - beide sind aber 7 pol. !!! Wo sollten denn da zusätzliche Kabel von hinten rangehen, zumal die Kabel des E-Satzes ja nur an die Rückleuchten angeschlossen werden?

Gut mag sein das das Fusseltuning ist, ich würde dennoch gerne nach Abschätzung des Aufwandes (wenn denn jemand die Lösung oder wenigstens einen Ansatz weiß) selbst entscheiden ob ich mich darauf einlasse oder nicht.

Was mir nicht in den Kopf will, ist die Tatsache, das ein Blinkimpuls auf dem Anschluß des neuen WBS liegt ( nur wenn Warnblinklicht eingeschaltet ist) wo die Spannung für die Instrumentenbeleuchtung (Grau/Blau) angeschlossen ist, zumal diese ja auch beim neuen funzt. In meinen So wird´s gemacht ist leider kein Schaltplan für Fahrzeuge mit AK.

also ich habe in meinem 99er Passat die AHK erfolgreich eingebaut, mit Blinkerkontrollleuchte im KI.
Das Warnblinkrelais für AHK und das normale nutzen ein und diesselbe Klemme unterschiedlich.
Der Kontakt, der bei dem normalen Warnblinkrelais der Eingang für die Schalterbeleuchtung ist, ist beim Warnblinkrelais für AHK der Ausgang, der die Kontrollleuchte ansteuert. Dadurch blinkt auch deine Instrumentenbeleuchtung.
Das Warnblinkrelais für AHK ist beleuchtet, sobald die Zündung an ist und lässt sich nicht in der Helligkeit regeln.
Du must einen Draht vom Relais an den blauen Stecker im KI legen.
Die Birne/Diode war in meinem KI schon eingebaut.

Ich weiss immoment nicht welche Kontakte dort verbunden werden müssen.
Ich gebe dir noch Bescheid.

Ich werde jetzt noch mal evtl. etwas voreilig weiter fragen: Müsste dann momentan mit dem neuen WBS nicht auch die Beleuchtung des KI mitblinken, wenn ein Anhänger dranhängt und ich ganz normal rechts oder links blinke? Das tuts nämlich nicht!
Ansonsten freue ich mich auf Antwort und danke schon mal im Vorraus.

Also, da bin ich wieder.
Du must Kammer 4 am Warnblinklichtschalter mit einer Kammer an dem blauen Stecker (32-fach) am Kombiinstrument verbinden.
Je nachdem welches Bj du hast ist dies unterschiedlich.
- bis April 98 ist dies Kammer 16
- ab Mai 98 Kammer 4

Ich bin seinerzeit zu VW und habe mir dorst einen passenden Kontakt für den 32-fach Stecker mit einem Stück Kabel dran besorgt.

Ach so, den Draht, der die Instrumentenbeleuchtung am WBS aktiviert, must du abschneiden und isolieren.

Ich habe dir eine PDF vom Stromlaufplan AHK als private Nachricht eingestellt.
