Tiptronic: FYP vs. GNY - What's the Difference?

I was still surprised: It was a Tiptronic model, with engine code ASZ.
Transmission code "GNY". I own an ASZ with a Tiptronic transmission, but it has a...
"FYP" transmissions. Confusingly, Volkswagen also calls these transmissions by that name.
"09A" and "09B," although I'm not sure if there's any correlation between them...

Even so, the rental car felt somehow "more lively" than my own.
and I also got the impression that when stopping at a traffic light, it automatically...
was set to the "neutral" position.

Can someone shed some light on this? What are the differences between FYP and GNY?

The FYP comes from Jatco (Hitachi control unit), but what about the GNY?
