Climate Control Upgrade: From Automatic to Climatic G4

Hello!
Has anyone ever converted the climate control system in a VW Golf 4 to Climatic (a more advanced climate control system)? If so, how is it done, and what parts are needed?

Climatronic is just Volkswagen's name for automatic climate control.
If you're thinking about replacing a manual climate control system with a Climatic (meaning the one without a display and fewer controls) with a version that has a display and more buttons, it's not a straightforward process because the Climatic system uses electric motors for all the ventilation vents and other functions.
Waeco offers a Climatic system that can be retrofitted; I would suggest inquiring about it.
