Hello.
I'm having a problem; I'm trying to adjust the AGR value in my engine control unit (ECU).
I logged in, changed the value (initially just by 5mg/unit), saved the value, and checked it again to make sure it was accepted, and everything worked. Login: 12233, Channel 03, value set to 32819.
If I interrupt the ignition now and look again next time, I will have the original value of 32768 again, which is 250mg/stroke.
My engine control unit (ECU) simply won't retain the changes. What could be the reason for this? I've already tried different software (various VAG-Com versions and VW Tool), but I always have the same problem.
However, the power supply from the STG (Steuergerät, or control unit) works because it can store error codes without losing them.
I hope someone can help me.
MKB is AJM, could the login code be incorrect for this MKB?
Best regards,
Hanomag2001

Hi,

Is your VAG-COM version licensed, i.e., unlocked?
Otherwise, the adaptation values cannot be saved.

Best regards, Rainer.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this.
VAG-Com is unlocked.

Hi,

It's possible that the engine control unit (ECU) is so sophisticated due to the emissions regulations that it prevents any manipulation. However, I doubt that's the case with a relatively 'old' AJM engine.
Or the EEPROM in the control unit is defective.

Best regards, Rainer.

Another possibility is that he has an older version of VAG-COM that he claims has been 'unlocked' through an illegal hack, but that is not actually the case.

@Hanomag: Which version of VAG-COM are you using? If it's older than version 311, please update to the latest version.
