Vehicle data: Audi A6, year 2000, V6 TDI, engine code: AKN.
'I'm having a problem where the engine speed doesn't go above 2400 RPM, resulting in a top speed of 40 km/h. The error code in the diagnostic memory is 'Injection timing control, control difference'. I've checked the valve timing and injection timing (basic setting, channel 04), and they are within specifications. When using the basic setting for channel 00, the second decimal value fluctuates between 25 and 56, which is too much. Furthermore, the rod for the turbocharger pressure control is moving in idle.'
Has anyone ever experienced this problem before? Can anyone help me out?
Best regards,
vrschrauber
P.S.: Work already completed:
Exhaust system separated before the catalytic converter.
Fuel filter replaced.
Turbocharger inspected (1 year old).
Turbocharger pressure control checked.
Exhaust gas recirculation system checked, everything is OK.
is very bad on the VP44. If the ESP somehow sucks in air, stop this as quickly as possible.
It would also be a good idea to check the timing belt and valve timing, as well as the basic position of the drive wheels of the ESP system.
The fuel injection pump is not drawing in air.
The start of injection is adjusted via the basic setting in channel 04.
Display field 2 2° north of east.
Display field 3: late.
Display area 4: 100%
and therefore, it is acceptable.
I can't imagine that the timing belt for the camshaft drive has slipped, and that the one for the fuel injection pump has slipped to the same extent.
