Rattling or clattering noises in the lower RPM range (1600 RPM), especially when the engine is at operating temperature and at higher ambient temperatures above 20°C. This noise mainly occurs during driving with no load. In light acceleration/deceleration, particularly during cornering (e.g., highway exit or roundabout), the noise intensifies.
Cause:
Due to the conventional clutch used in these vehicles (without a dual-mass flywheel), rattling and clattering noises can occur in the lower RPM range, caused by torsional vibrations in the crankshaft within the powertrain.
