Hello forum members, I had some more issues with my car over the weekend. The camshaft, its bearings, and the lifters for the first cylinder were heavily worn. My parts supplier couldn't provide replacements, so I ordered a camshaft kit from Kolbenschmidt (Czech Republic) on eBay and installed it. Now the Touran is running smoothly again.
I took a couple of pictures; I haven't seen hydraulic lifters that deformed before. Have a nice weekend, Wolfgang.

I don't have a 2-valve engine with tappets. All 4-valve TDI engines (both PD and CR) have roller rocker arms. See, for example, SSP 403 icon_razz.gif.
