Air conditioner not cooling.
Cause:
The air conditioning compressor is blocked, the overload protection of the pulley has tripped, the AC compressor is no longer being driven, and part of the AC compressor housing is damaged - debris is present at the throttle body!
Solution:
When reporting an issue with the air conditioning system not cooling properly, please first check the pulley on the air conditioning compressor.
Start the engine and turn on the air conditioning.
If the pulley's retaining plate is stationary while the pulley itself is rotating, the compressor is blocked. There is visible rubber debris inside the pulley, indicating that the pulley's overload protection has been triggered!
Replace the expansion valve, dryer, and air conditioning compressor. The new compressor must be manually rotated 10 times using the drive plate (to distribute the oil within the compressor). Then, correctly fill the air conditioning system on the high-pressure side. Let the filled air conditioning system run idle for 10 minutes. Only after 10 minutes should you increase the engine speed.
