Audi A3 8P: Floor Covering Detaching Problem (Solution)

The flooring is peeling away on the left and right sides, near the bottom of the A-pillar, from the interior door sill.

Cause:
The transition to the inner sill is partially too short or can slide downwards.

Solution:
One insert piece, with part number 8P3 863 495, must be installed on the left and right sides under the floor mat, acting as a Y-shaped support.
