Hello,

The passenger door on my Golf 3 is slightly misaligned with the body. To adjust it, you need to loosen the screws on the A-pillar and then align the door properly.
Is there a way to loosen the screws without using the VW 3320 tool?
Does anyone know approximately how much such a tool costs?
Gruss Oliver.

I bought a Torx bit at the hardware store and welded it to an old open-end wrench. It works great.

Hello,

I've tried that before too.
I got a double ring wrench that's curved like a banana and had a Torx bit welded into it.
The design allows easy access to the screws, but it's impossible to loosen them. There's only one position where the bit engages with the screw. When you start loosening the screw, the bit no longer fits into the next engagement point.
Now it should be possible to turn the bit in the holder!
So, everything's not that great.
Gruss Oliver.

Also alles nicht so toll.

Well, I don't want to complain, but Hazet, for example, makes combination wrenches with a rotating head (similar to ratchets). Those things cost around 10-20€, and I would rather buy one of those than start welding and messing around.
The screws on the door hinges need to be tightened very securely; otherwise, the door will easily become misaligned if it accidentally hits the retaining strap. And that raises the question of whether you can achieve this with your 'tool.'

That's true. They are very tight and need to be very secure. Mine have been holding for 2 years now. I removed both doors when I was painting. But so far, nothing has shifted.
