hello,
Maybe someone knows something about this!
I'm looking to buy an Audi that was deregistered in March 2003. In November 2004, it received a two-year technical inspection (TÜV) and roadworthiness test (AU), but the car hasn't been registered for use on public roads since then.
I was just told that the car needs to go to the inspection station first in order to get the necessary paperwork for section 21.
However, the seller stated that this wouldn't be necessary because the car still has a valid technical inspection (TÜV) until November 2005!
Can someone clarify this?

The question is easy to answer: if a vehicle is not used for longer than 18 months, the operating permit expires, and then section § 21 applies. The inspection (HU/AU) carried out in November 2003 doesn't change anything about that.
It really depends on the exact date of the shutdown; it might be a tight squeeze.

hello forum members,
I just spoke with the registration office, and their information is the same.
Thank you for your reply.
