Hi,
Which measurement values indicate that a G450 differential pressure sensor needs to be replaced?
Do you have offsets that are considered too large?
Or other, strange behavior?
Mine changes every day (sometimes 13, sometimes 9...), and yesterday it surprised me while the engine was off, with a differential pressure of 2 mbar.
We've already clarified that these things age over time, not operating hours. The new mounting location for the CRs, which is NOT on the engine but in a vibration-free location on the chassis, is also noticeable.

Hi,
for the Golf 6 with CR 2.0, the sensor is also mounted on the engine.
I received a new sensor after the differential pressure could no longer be changed.

Do you have a photo of it?
I saw it on a Golf next to the engine!

Has anyone ever swapped a sensor "on suspicion" and noticed any improvements?
I currently have sensors with 13 mbar, -9 mbar, and -15 mbar offsets in operation.
I think I'll get a new one and see what happens.

Until the differential pressure sensor failed, I was unable to detect any issues with my BRE.

A weasel (from ASB) chewed through the hose from the DPF to the differential pressure sensor.
Even then, there was no noticeable change in the driving experience, only the engine warning light was on.

Hi dieselmartin,
here are the pictures, it took a while.
I need to improve myself, the sensor is mounted on the engine mount, not on the engine.
I had it wrong in my head.
Best regards

My sensor on the PD is also mounted on the spray wall.
In the image above on the left:

I replaced it while cleaning the DPF just to be safe.
However, it had never been defective before.

After several years have passed, and the sensor seems to still be functioning, I noticed today that there should be a difference when the engine is stationary!

I had experienced a loss of communication after the measured 4.4 mbar.
The measurement with VCDS (later) showed the following:

26.8°C Temperature before exhaust turbine

What exactly does the offset do? Does it round up the 4.4...?
Was genau macht dieser Wert, hat er ja nun "gerundet" die 4,4 einbezogen...?
That's what I thought too.
He had an offset of -4 and a falsely high value of 4.4.
To correct the measurement to 0, he must subtract 4.4 from the already calculated -4, resulting in -8.4 ~ 9 mbar.
However, I also had -13 mbar.
The offset fluctuates constantly... which contradicts the idea of "calibration".
After all, why do I have to log in to 3060... and calibrate the sensor, when it should already be providing constant values and the MSTG should automatically compensate?
... or should it not fluctuate at all, and therefore be considered "faulty" and in need of replacement?

Haha
Now, back to being so weird:
13:55:30 Block 067: Particulate Filter (Emissions values I)
60.8°C: Temperature before exhaust turbine
57.6°C: Temperature in the particulate filter
4.4 mbar: Pressure difference in the particulate filter
-9 mbar: Offset difference in pressure
d.h. es wird auf einen Offset von -13mbar hinauslaufen.
I think we'll get a new sensor next time.

Now, we've even seen readings as low as -16 mbar.
