Hello everyone, welcome to the forum.
I own a Smart Diesel, and the differential pressure sensor is now defective. I've read a lot about this in the forum, which was really helpful! Thank you again for all the posts!
This allowed me to recalibrate the electronics to the new sensor using the software, even with my Tiguan. Now, I have two more questions about this.
1. Does the electronics *always* need to be reprogrammed after replacing the sensor, or does it work without it? (Smart)
"Can I also do this with my VCDS software on a Smart car?"
Thank you in advance!
Best regards, Udo.

Hello Udo,
The sensor should theoretically "automatically" recalibrate on the Tiguan (and also on the Smart). The offset is constantly being adjusted anyway.
With VCDS, after the sensor is initialized, the values from the new sensor are immediately correct. Otherwise, the adaptation process would require several driving cycles.
I suspect that it's similar with the Smart. Since the Smart can only be accessed via OBD2 with VCDS, unfortunately, nothing can be learned or programmed in that regard.
Best regards, Rainer.
