Webasto Diagnostics: Reviews, Software & Interface

I use the simple diagnostic interface designed by Jeff Noxon for my Webasto Thermotop Z/C.

The software from Webasto functions without any problems under DOS.

However, I also have a diagnostic program for Windows: Thermo Test Ver. 1.19 (dated August 6, 2002).

Okay, here's my question: Has anyone here ever tried using the Windows version of Webasto in conjunction with a DIY diagnostic interface? And, most importantly, how did it work for you? And, if it worked for anyone, what interface did you use? And which version of the Windows software?

In short, it doesn't work for me with the Windows version, but it does work with the DOS version. However, the Windows version has more features.

I have a Termotop C and Thermotest version 1.19 running on Windows. It works great and has a very stable connection. I use my own custom-built VAG-Com interface, and it worked perfectly right away.
However, I have never tried the DOS version of the web software.
