AJM Tuning - Chip? PowerBox?

Hi,
I have a Volkswagen Golf 4 Variant (estate/wagon) from 2001 with the AJM engine (115 hp).
I would like to get a little more performance out of it!
'Does anyone have experience with AJM?'
Chip or PowerBox?
What is more recommendable?
Should we just leave it as it is with AJM? I've heard about engine problems before, what do you think about that?

I would recommend chip tuning because it offers more possibilities. With a reputable tuner who understands their craft, I don't see a problem as long as the increased power is handled responsibly.

I had my Golf IV AJM 115PS-PD TDI chipped. I can confirm the information provided by Jürgen (JET). The turbo kicking in around 1800 rpm isn't as noticeable anymore. The acceleration starts at just 1500 RPM with the chip and doesn't weaken until 3600 RPM!
Achieving speeds of 215 km/h, and even just over 220 km/h (according to the speedometer), is definitely possible with a bit of effort! Above 210, my printer starts to struggle, and I have to remove the "T" from the lettering, which requires a lot of patience and multiple attempts.
I would recommend choosing a reputable chip tuner (one that doesn't use an external control unit) who is located near your home or workplace, in case any problems arise!
