Car Radio Error Codes: Meaning & Troubleshooting

I'm relatively new to the field of diagnostics, but I've managed to do some digging and found the following information 'online':


Control Module Part Number: 1M0 035 186 K
Component and/or Version: Radio GRO 2.29

1 Fault Found:
00856 - Radio Antenna
36-10 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

Okay, so there seems to be something wrong with the antenna. Can someone explain to me exactly what it is?
Is the antenna completely detached, or is there a problem with the power supply?

Can I actually clear the error (in memory)? And if the hardware error isn't fixed, will it reappear (in memory), or will it be gone permanently then?
