VW & Audi: Store Maintenance & Repair Data

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the maintenance records and workshop visits for a VW or Audi vehicle are stored in a central computer?
That's how it is at BMW.
It has the advantage that, when buying a used car, you can see the maintenance and repairs that have been carried out.

According to what I learned from my master mechanic at the VAG workshop, all official work performed on a VW/Audi vehicle has been recorded since September 2003 (including repairs and maintenance).

In any case, before that date, it was impossible to extract any data from my Audi's computer that would indicate repair information.

However, goodwill repairs have been archived for some time now, as each company had to separately request them and provide all the necessary data.
